hi

iam trying to read FAT16 for an undelete(dos) utility iam orking on.iam working in C and my program works fine for smaller partitions(sectors per FAT<128 ie.less than 64k) and for floppies but hangs when i try to read sectors using int86x for spft>128 ;i dunno why.i thought that sufficient memory wasn't being allocated and i rectified that.now i dunno what might be the pblm.
books suggested i try ioctl generic fns to read/write sectors (int21h,440dh) but i dunno how to get the head no.
i really don't know what the pblm is and would be glad if someone could help.
HELP!
