Corrupted indd file (InDesign 3.0).

Corrupted indd file (InDesign 3.0).

Corrupted indd file (InDesign 3.0).

I have a indd file (3.0 In Design) that is corrupted.  I have tried several fixex including one that was suggested in a thread from October (thread818-1417864: File went bad, any help?).  I cannot place the file in a new document.  I've also had the folks at Markzware take the file and convert it to Quark and then back to InDesign, but the file comes back with none of the text.  That is all I need is the text.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what else I might try to get the text.

RE: Corrupted indd file (InDesign 3.0).

Try getting the file to adobe themselves

zak at adobe dot com should be able to help you. I've heard good things about this route.

Hope that helps.

Oh before you do that

Go to hard drive/user/library/preferences and trash "com.adobe.InDesign.plist"

Don't trash them, just move them out of the folder, in case you need to put it back.

I probably should have mentioned this not on a MAC......it's on PC (ugh, I know).

Try turning off the Version Cue in the Preferences of InDesign before opening the file.

And still, get in touch with someone at Adobe, they might be able to help you.
