Panasonic D816 Hybrid System questions

Panasonic D816 Hybrid System questions

Hello everybody.

I have a Panasonic D816 Hybrid system with 2 phone lines going in it.
I also have 2 Panasonic KX-T7230X phones.
I have some problem with the whole system, so if you could help me I would really appreciate it.

0. What does CO mean ? (the manual is full of this term, but I am not sure if it means Central Office... or anything else)
1. How do I set the INTERCOM code(the number for each phone)
2. I understood that this system has 2 digital lines and 6 analog ones ? (what does that exactly mean? )
3. The most difficult part for me is connecting a normal phone to the system. I connected it but whenever I wat to dial a number one of the Panasonic phones rings (intercom) - the numbers here start with 0, so it dials intercom 0.

I am sorry if my questions sound stupid, but I really do not not how this thing works.
Hope someone replays.
Thank you.
