Having “most used” fonts handy

Having “most used” fonts handy

Having “most used” fonts handy

(OP)
Sometimes in a document I'm working with several text boxes
each with a different font. Usually 3 or 4 different fonts total.

Instead of going to my huge font list - each time - to click on
the font I want for a particular box .. is there any way I can
have those 3 or 4 fonts someplace handy (like the desktop)
instead of having to laboriously scroll through my huge font list
for each font change?

Thank you.

RE: Having “most used” fonts handy

Hi BigJimm
Go to edit Style Sheets and choose the fonts you want and make a style sheet for each one, and you can also use Key equivalent on the key pad to select them as well as using Style Sheets.
     Hope this helps

I forgot to mention, when you launch Quark and there no files open, then go to Edit Styles Sheets and add the fonts you want to be available.
That way every time you start a new job those fonts will be there.

Thanks so much for your help. But, could you please be a little more detailed ..
ie, when you open Style Sheets, SPECIFICALLY what do you do to add fonts?

Thanks.

RE: Having “most used” fonts handy

BigJimm
You need to use Quark Help, and type in Style Sheets, the following is from Quark help
To create a new paragraph style sheet:

Choose Edit → Style Sheets (Shift+F11). The Style Sheet list displays the style sheets currently defined for the project (or the default list of style sheets if no projects are open).
Click the New button and choose Paragraph. The Edit Paragraph Style Sheet dialog box displays.
Choose any of the next three tabs: Formats, Tabs, or Rules to specify those attributes or properties for your paragraph style sheet.
Click OK to return to the Style Sheets dialog box; then click Save to save the style sheet for the project.
