TN793C and Faxing

TN793C and Faxing

TN793C and Faxing

A client of our's has the following problem. His system is a SCC1 G3siv6. He has about a dozen faxes on TN791. Recently he bought a new one and he attached it on a TN793C. I duplicated one of the old faxes (stations) to the new one but it doesn answer. Excuse my lack of knowledge but i am relatively knew on the job. I want to ask if by any chance anyone has information on that circuit pack. Crosssed my mind that perhaps this pack does not support fax calls.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks for your time.

RE: TN793C and Faxing

Forgot to mention that i have looked at the support site and Avaya documentation but nothing. I only found the known TN793CP.

RE: TN793C and Faxing

The TN 793 should do fax machines just fine. Put you buttset or analog phone in the jack and make a receive calls to be sure the line is good.

More than likely it is something that needs to be programmed in the fax.

The wireless telegraph is not difficult to understand. The ordinary telegraph is like a very long cat. You pull the tail in New York, and it meows in Los Angeles. The wireless is the same, only without the cat.

RE: TN793C and Faxing

Check the distinctive ring settings on the new fax machine, also some fax machines can be set for manual answer or auto-answer.
