Microsoft server 2008

Good morning all. I have a quick question.....I think! Will the latest Rls. of BES software run on Microsoft Server 2008? If so, any pitfalls I need to be aware of. Thanks in advance for your replies.

RE: Microsoft server 2008

As SQL 2008 is still in beta nothing is guaranteed.

MCSA (2003) / MCDBA (SQL 2000)
MCTS (SQL 2005 / Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0: Configuration / Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007: Configuration)
MCITP Database Administrator (SQL 2005) / Database Developer (SQL 2005)

RE: Microsoft server 2008

I actually talked with some folks who tried to roll this out and they said it was disastrous, and did not recommend doing this.  So, needless to say, we will be installing Server 2003!

RE: Microsoft server 2008

The MAPI and CDO components don't run on W2K8 servers yet, MS need to resolve that. From a BES perspective it will be certified in a future Service Pack. Stick to 2K3 for now.
