Trim() feature not working??

Trim() feature not working??

Trim() feature not working??

I've tried this a dozen ways and I cannot figure out what IB isn't liking about this... Can SOMEBODY please help??

It's whining about the ' '... I found in InterBase documentation that this is how you're supposed to do this, and yet it still doesn't work. Can somebody help?

RE: Trim() feature not working??

trim is not a key word on interbase.
but there is LTRIM AND RTRIM witch are external functions,
but you need to declare them  in your Data base.
unfortunately i don't have  the interbase now, but you can
see the help.
after declaring them you can use them freely.
