I have never worked with application switching before and wanted to see what information anyone may have on app switching. We have web based servers facing customers and I want to be able to redirect URL's with security when specific server become unavailable. I understand that there are hardware devices that can do this and wanted to see what hardware devices are available and what your experience has been with these devices.

All insight is greatly appreciated.
