implementing african board game oware aka mancala

hello everyone, im trying to implement the african board game called mancala (other names include oware), in c++.

I'd like to some pointers in the right direction, in terms of what structures would be wise to use, and how to best go abouts implementing a simple but fully rule driven version of the game - it will be text based, therefore no graphics will be used here, therefore as an executable it'll simply be a windows 32-bit console application.

any tips/hints as to the best way to get started ?

please get back to me on this asap.
