I'm having trouble printing PCL now that I got the driver CD and installed it to win XP pro. All it does it print out all the PCL so i get 4 or 5 or more pages where only 1 should print and only the text comes out readable. i.e. not recognizing Esc etc. I downloaded their 2Mb+ PCL thingy and will install it tomorrow. Anyone else had this problem and
was able to fix it ?

RE: Lexmark E323 Laser

The specification indicates that the printer languages supported are:

PCL 6 Emulation
Personal Printer Data Stream (PPDS)
PostScript 3 Emulation

What I've no idea about is whether 'PCL6 emulation' means exactly that (i.e. it supports the (binary) PCL XL language), or if it is being used in a somewhat looser fashion (as has been done in the past) to mean 'PCL5 and PCL XL' languages.

I was able to get it to do all but raster graphics (actually it will do shading with raster graphics just not
the Esc*NNW...Esc*rB stuff but i think i can get around that). I was able to get it to do most PCL by unclicking the 'Enable Extended Function' checkbox.
