Importing sales journal in Peachtree results in duplicate transactions

(OP)
Hi all, new member here. I am using the import function in Peachtree (2006) and I set up the csv file. after hitting the import button i went into the sales journal to review and found that each transaction had a duplicate. any thoughts as to why this is happening?

RE: Importing sales journal in Peachtree results in duplicate transactions

This was an issue, but has since been fixed in 2008.  What you can do to prevent it from happening again, is put an "X" in the first column of the last row of your import file.  This will cause Peachtree to give you an error, but will only import the information once.

You can edit your import file using Excel.
