Cisco VPN client not working with McAfee Host IPS

Hi,

we are having problems when installing Cisco VPN clients 4.0.3 and 4.8. When installing and having HIPS installed/active it's impossible to start vpn-tunnel. If installing with HIPS deactivated (HIPS & Firewall) it works fine.

Although in both instances the installation itself is showing no errors. Just the vpn-tunnel cannot start when it fails.

The vpn logs states that "unable to enable virtual adapter" when it fails.

Any ideas??

Hi Mikael

Don't know if you already found a solution to you problem, but my guess is that your problems is caused by the Zone Alarm Firewall that is installed together with Cisco VPN Client.
