Is Director the Tool for converting MPEG to High Quality DVD's

(OP)
I am currently producing graphics on an application called Pro-Show Producer. Origionally designed for professional photographers this application is an easy way to create high quality (powerpoint like) content. A problem I am having is the quality of the DVD output is basic, but I need to product excellent quality DVD's.

This application can output up to Full HD 1080p Mpeg's which are mindblowing quality. Is director capable of importing the 1080p mpegs and outputing to a very high quality DVD format?

Would it be possible for someone to do this without any director experience.

If this is not the solution, has any one a better sugestion?

RE: Is Director the Tool for converting MPEG to High Quality DVD's

No, Director is not for creating a DVD. But any DVD authoring software will have no problem converting your MPEG into DVD.
