DNS over VPN Client

DNS over VPN Client

Am I able to use DNS over the Juniper VPN client? I am unable to resolve hostnames. I am using Netscreen Remote v 10.7.2 and a NS 25 on the other end.

RE: DNS over VPN Client

Yes, you will need to define your DNS Servers in the Xauth config for your IP Pool.  In the example below, the IP Pool used is called "IPpool".  The NSR clients will obtain IPs from this pool.  After Authentication, the NSR client will receive the DNS1 and DNS2 server settings.  These should point to internal DNS servers.

set ippool "IPpool"
set xauth default ippool "IPpool"
set xauth default dns1
set xauth default dns2

Hope this helps.
