IR Query and Expert Search

(OP)
I’m a Peregrine System Administrator I’m trying to find out how to develop complex advance queries in Peregrine. Unfortunately I haven’t found any manuals for the development of statements in peregrine. Does anybody know to develop statements in the expert search or IR query???
Peregrine v6.1

Thanks

RE: IR Query and Expert Search

IR query does a sort of "fuzzy" query, it's supposed to do something similar to full-text-search in an RDBMS.  ie, find words/phrases in a long text field.  So this probably isn't what you're looking for.

Expert search is likely what you want.  You just do stuff like:

category="APPLICATION" and assignment="APPGROUP"

True, however what I’m looking for is to understand how to use ()*$#" an all those kind of symbols. ex. I had a request to create a query to search for phone numbers. Well I can pull the area codes but I can not search for a specific phone number.
Seems like exceeding 4 numbers the system doesn’t work property, or may be understands it different. However when I look for letters or sentences it works fine.

Also, does anybody knows where can I find a description for the errors on services center
