ServiceCenter - conversion to Case Insensitive

ServiceCenter - conversion to Case Insensitive

ServiceCenter - conversion to Case Insensitive

(OP)
Hi all,

I am new to SC. I've installed SC 6.2.2 on my testing computer and I'm working on the conversion to MS SQL. For now I've decided to go for the option to first turn the P4 db to case insensitive mode (and then keep the default MS SQL db setting of CI mode). However, during the conversion of P4 to CI, there were several errors. After the conversion, SC seem to work normally.

Errors while converting alphabet file - that's probably OK. Then an error while converting operator table - the "bad" key seems to be falcon I think (and that was the operator I used for the conversion) - do you know why I got this?:

  3028(  3504) 07/23/2007 21:34:10  RTE E Duplicate key found in records 115306 and 138900, record 138900 will be ignored. (redo.table,regen.table)
  3028(  3504) 07/23/2007 21:34:10  RTE E Duplicate key found in records 115306 and 138900, record 138900 will be ignored.
  3028(  3504) 07/23/2007 21:34:10  RTE E key#1: name="falcon"

Then a third and forth error:

3028(  3504) 07/23/2007 21:34:52  RTE E file:(info) key:(type=company,format=info.company) (se.base.method,update.record)
3028(  3504) 07/23/2007 21:34:52  RTE E The record being updated has been modified since read (se.base.method,update.record)

2196(  4332) 07/24/2007 09:10:31  RTE E _createMergeInfo: Failed to open unique file 'computerprintersuniq' for parent file 'computer'
2196(  4332) 07/24/2007 09:10:31  RTE E _createMergeInfo: Failed to open attribute file 'computerprintersattr' for parent file 'computer'

And then, mainly, I got several thousand errors of this kind - they occured mostly right after the conversion finished:

   288(  2340) 07/24/2007 07:45:54  RAD E Unrecoverable error in application:  scheduler.process on panel set.globals
   288(  2340) 07/24/2007 07:45:54  RAD E Unrecoverable error in application:  set.login.globalvars on panel get.asset.contract.object

What kind of errors are those please? It's an error of a RAD application, is it anyhow connected to my conversion process?

Thank you very much,
Michaela

RE: ServiceCenter - conversion to Case Insensitive

On falcon, did you have two operators for falcon?  eg falcon and FALCON or Falcon?

Are you doing this with the system down?  It's not required, but I'd recommend doing this with only one user in and no background processors running.

The other errors might be solved by a restart
