Linking Btwn ADS/Online and IDMS Batch Program

Linking Btwn ADS/Online and IDMS Batch Program

Linking Btwn ADS/Online and IDMS Batch Program

1.  We need to pass data through linkage.

2.  DB records are not currently used in the ADS/O dialog but will be required to obtain data updated by the batch program upon return(i.e., do we need to do FINDs to Bind the records/Ready Areas in the dialog? before linking to the IDMS Batch program?)

3.  The "linked to" IDMS Batch program may also be "linked to" by other Batch IDMS programs as well.Might we need 2 programs - one that is linked to from the ADS/O dialog and another that is linked to from the batch programs.  In the past, we used an "INCLUDEd" process module that was incorporated into both a DC COBOL program (which a dialog called) and into a IDMS Batch program (which other Batch programs called).
