NBX 3000 - Need more system speed dials

NBX 3000 - Need more system speed dials

NBX 3000 - Need more system speed dials

(OP)
We're replacing a PBX where we had over 600 system speed dials setup - for every customer we deal with. most internal phones had no external line access but could speed dial anyone on the speed dial list.
On the 3000, there are only 100 SSD so I added all the numbers into the dial plan, using 8 to identify a speed dial and with a 3 digit pre-translater (001 - 999)

PreTranslatorEntry Create          1     2 8001

PreTranslatorOperation Create          1     2      1 replace    9051601658

therefore, if a user dials 8001, the system dials 9051601658
I them just programmed a speed dial button on the handsets to dial 8, and gave the users a list of the 3 digit codes for each customer.
my problem is, if a phone doesn't have outside call priviliges, it won't work!
I've tried to automatically code a COS override into a button, with the extention, password and 8 all on one button (e.g. 433222#3333#8) but the system won't let me.

Any ideas how I could get around this?

Many Thanks,
  Lanson.
