How compatible is Visual FoxPro with previous versions of FoxPro (primarily 2.6)?

RE: Compatibilility Issues

visual foxpro maintains complete "backwards compatibility" meaning IF you re-compile the project with visual 6.0, you will be able to run the executible.

RE: Compatibilility Issues

VFP maintains ~97% backwards compatibility. Virgo, you didn't say if you were coming from FP 2.6 DOS or Windows; there are a heap of commands and functions that may have been useful in DOS but are ignored or worthless in Windows (shadow, for example).

But even from FPW, there are a few things that don't work. DEFINE BOX, for example.
