NBX 100 Paging Problem

NBX 100 Paging Problem

NBX 100 Paging Problem

(OP)
Newb alert...

I have been charged with maintaining an existing NBX 100 installation with about 30+ 2102PE phones... everything is going swimmingly, except the client wants to be able to do internal paging over the speakerphone.

Try as I might, I cannot make it work. When I dial '621', the readout on the phone says 'All Internal Page' (as i suppose it should) but no sound comes out from the other phones. Nuthin.

Is there something I need to set up in the admin console? Are these phones even capable of this functionality?

Thanks for any insights.

RE: NBX 100 Paging Problem

What release of code are you running? It should be giving out audio, you may want to try a reboot.

RE: NBX 100 Paging Problem

I am not working with the 3Com anymore but there is a multi cast feature you need to set on your switches for paging.

Search old post here and you will find it.

RE: NBX 100 Paging Problem

the feature you want to dissable on the switch is called 'igmp snoop'
