I am a citrix consultant doing an implementation for a customer of Mims Open Enterprise on Windows 2003, SP1, and Citrix.  I am unable to get the mims explorer to work. It brings up the login box, I login, and it disappears.  This is all as administrator so permissions should not be the issue.

I have run regmon and filemon to no avail.  It appears as though it is mlog.exe causing me fits. After I click login I see it appear in the task list, then disappear quickly.

If I run msqtst.exe, I am able to login, and get context data, and other items from the database so communication seems ok.

If I enable debugging in middleware, debug.out shows a number of these errors

msqexp.exe will initiate mlog.exe and this will terminate on successful login to Ellipse... mlog.exe disappearing quickly from the task list is normal.  It would appear to be a problem with msqexp.exe or the backend Ellipse ETP.  Maybe try msq000.exe and see if it has the same problem.  Check your Tuxconfig file and check the server side tuxedo logs.  Drew

Also tpagent is initiated to handle the comms between the client and the server, your error quotes tpagent and TPEBLOCK (error 3) and tpgetrply which could be summarised as a general comms error.  It may well be a problem with your serverside tuxedo install (check the UBB file) and etp logs on the server.  The default comms for Mims and Ellipse clients is synchronous i.e. send a request and wait for a reply.  TPEBLOCK was probably returned form the server because there was no timeout message.
