CRM 3.0 Install hangs

I'm trying to install CRM 3 onto our IIS server (meets all requirements other than software installed during install). At the install .Net 1.1, it started the install and only went to 2 bars in over 30 minutes. I ended the install, rebooted, manually installed .net 1.1, then re-ran the install. It then tried to install again, then it hangs at the .Net 1.1 SP #1.

Is there something wrong here?

To install CRM run the serversplash.exe. This file will create a log file on the root of C drive which will give more information. This could be a network issue. Do you get as far as the environment diagnostic wizard

Turned out to be an issue with the hotfix for .net 1.0. Once that was uninstalled, then .net 1.1 installed fine.
