NewSID deployment

NewSID deployment

NewSID deployment

(OP)
Hi,

I am in need of some advice. I have to change the SID on a large number of client PCs due to duplicates. I have downloaded SysInternal's NewSID from the MS website, and have packaged it.
The deployment works in as far as the program runs and shows up in processes (in client task manager), but that is about it! It sits there running for eternity.

I have tried with the command line switches, (/a /n (no prompt & supress reboot)), I have tried differing combinations of package, i.e. run with drive letter, etc. Nothing seems to work.

Has anyone ever tried this via SMS or do you advise that a GPO may be a more practical way to deploy this?

It it starting to drive me bonkers!!  So any help would be appreciated!
