Exporting via dts error: External Table is not in the expected format

(OP)
Hey Yall,

I am creating a new dts package that exports data into a csv file.  I used Excel 2000 to  create the csv but when I try to export to the csv file via sql server 2000 it errors out with the following "External tabl is not in the expected format."  Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
Thanks
Erica

RE: Exporting via dts error: External Table is not in the expected format

One option would be to have DTS create a new CSV file each time the package is run.  Then use a script task to rename the file.

Hope this helps,

Alex
