Sizing web parts absolutely

Sizing web parts absolutely

I want to place some web parts on my website, but when I do the web parts are always too big.  I would like to specifically size these web parts, but I have been unable to figure out something that works.  I tried setting the Height and Width explicitly in the webpart's properties, but this hasn't worked.  I tried using the handles on the web zone to position it by dragging the sides of the zone and the web part itself, but this hasn't worked either.

Certain webparts - like the calendar, for example - appear always maximized and I can't get them down to a 200x300px box, for example.

How can I get the webparts to be sized so that I can manipulate them into my website design?

What? Who? ME????
