Question about DNS and Root Hints

Greetings all,

I am getting ready to install MS CRM and in the Implementation Guide under DNS Settings (Page 11-14 if anyone cares) it says to Remove the root hints from my DNS Servers and to remove the Cache file from internal servers. Does anyone know why?

Internal DNS servers are not suppoed to query the root DNS servers deirectly. However this procedure is optional so do not worry about it, you can continue the install.
