Recently am finding that Corel WP11 is becoming quite unstable. Often shuts down and /or takes along time to load. I have had this problem in past, I just uninstalled and re installed and that seemed to work for quite a while.

But before I did do un install, I made a copy of my addressbook for safe keeping. Sometimes I was able to export .txt file successfully and sometimes I get error - export failed. I cannot get a decent help from corel wp 11 HELP button. Yes, I have downloaded the instructions for exporting address book from this site and followed to a T but still got export failed message. I have tried a few different options but still cannot get it to work.

I know it can be done because my .txt files done months ago work just fine. I had made notes to myself so I would know what to do but still can’t get it to work. Probably something real simple! Can anyone give me some guidelines?

The previous version of Corel Wp (8) the addressbook I had was much easier to work where file was saved as .abx. easy export and easy import. Why they changed this I don’t know..

RE: Exporting

Before you uninstall / reinstall try closing WP, rename
C:\Documents and Settings\(your login name)\Application Data\Corel\PerfectExpert\9\Custom WP Templates\wp11us.wpt to wp11us.sav, and restart WP.  This may solve the stability issue without killing the application.

I'm have no experience with the address book issues.
