Best CGI Script Language?

Im just wondering, in your opinions, what the best CGI scripting language is and why.

RE: Best CGI Script Language?

Here's an article comparing Perl and PHP: http://tnx.nl/php

Thanks.

RE: Best CGI Script Language?

Not sure what conclusion the article reaches although the author appears not to like PHP.
I prefer Perl, not because I can prove that it is superior to PHP but just that I am familiar with it and it does most of the things I need to do. My only experience of PHP is the GD function for manipulating images, which I regularly use. The best part about Perl, by far, are the people who frequent the Perl Forum, they are knowledgable, helpful and do not treat newbies as second class citizens.
Just my biased opinion.

RE: Best CGI Script Language?

Hi

Then another biased thought. If you rewrite this JAPHs in any other language, I accept that it is more efficient then Perl. Until that, I choose Perl for any kind of tasks.
