Can EDM talk to a "StandAlone" tape drive???? HELP

Can EDM talk to a "StandAlone" tape drive???? HELP

We are using EDM as our current backup solution. We have (2) facilities. A primary data center and a lights-dim secondary/DR site. We have a full blown tape libraries at each site. If we wanted to add a (Third/Secondary DR) site with a single multi-domain server, and a SINGLE STAND-ALONE tape drive could we get EDM to attach to this standalone drive for restores?

We have tried to remove (1) existing library and attach a standalone drive for initial testing, but cant seem to get it to work...

Does anyone know if this can be done, and if so does anyone have any tips on HOW to do it?

We are stuck with EDM for the time being... ANY help would be appriciated!!!!
