Remote UPS monitoring

Remote UPS monitoring

Remote UPS monitoring

I have to purchase several UPS for an outdoor application.  I have seen that there are lots of providers for UPS and I have found several that will meet my backup requirements, however there is a requirement that I haven't managed to solve: I need to remotelly monitor the UPS, and when I mean remotelly I mean that I don't have an Ethernet network there as some UPS providers seem to think as they offered me LAN cards for the UPS as remote monitoring solutions.

I am talking about monitoring the UPS via GPRS or CDMA or satellite.

My questions are:

- Does somebody else has/had the same remote monitoring requirement that I have, or am I the only one with that problem and that's why I can't find a solution for it.

- Could somebody please tell me if you know a  manufacturer that provides this kind of remote monitoring capability or how did you solve this type of requirement ?
