FTP works but Confirm Copy box doesn't go away

(OP)
Frontpage FTP used to work perfect, then suddenly it started doing this.  When I select a file and hit the arrow to copy it to my site, the confirm copy box opens.... Then the file does copy over and I can see this by browsing to the URL.  However, the confirm copy box never closes.  If I wait long enough (like 20 mins) it will eventually come back with some error about cannot find server.  If I hit "cancel" the file is marked as with a Conflict Status.

What I really don't get is how my page can be uploaded just fine, yet FP would have me believe it didn't finish.  Any idea what is going on with this?

Once again, it worked perfectly fine for years and just started doing this a few weeks ago.  Any ideas would be great!!
