Double prompt for authentication

Hi Guys

Bit of a problem that I hope you can help with.  We have an IIS6 setup with Frontpage Server Extensions 2002.  We have set up all websites using permissions through frontpage server extensions.

The problem we are having is when someone opens a word document on the website with the permission of contributor, they are prompted twice for authentication.  If they click cancel both times they can get to the document.  The funny thing is if you set their permission to author there is no authentication box and they get in first time!

HELP!!!

Thanks
Nick

RE: Double prompt for authentication

Sometimes this problem cannot be worked around, wipe contributor and create new user/user group to edit the page. You may have to give individual access to FPE front page extension. I ran into this problem a while back and it worked doing BoTh of the above.
