Expanding menus on Wordperfect Office 12

Expanding menus on Wordperfect Office 12

The drop-down menus in Wordperfect Office 12 have a kind of animation that I don't like. If you click on a menu item (File, Edit, etc) the drop-down menu expands visibly rather than just appearing fully drawn. It is a somewhat slow operation, and when moving from one main menu item to another after expansion, it draws the new menu THEN un-draws the old one, which is butt ugly and slow. Can I modify the way this works so it's more like most other programs where the menus seem pretty "snappy"?

This is a minor issue, but it's an annoyance and I hope someone knows how to change the behavior.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Expanding menus on Wordperfect Office 12

Set your animation in Windows.  Right click desktop, Properties, Appearance, Effects, and uncheck the first option.
