KX-TD1232 with ISDN and analog at the same time

KX-TD1232 with ISDN and analog at the same time

KX-TD1232 with ISDN and analog at the same time

(OP)
Hi there,
any idea whether having ISDN expansion card (KX-TD286) allows me to use the default analog COs at the same time? If so, how should I do that (In setup program, I can only see the ISDN COs available).

RE: KX-TD1232 with ISDN and analog at the same time

maybe rivet will chime in ,don't do a lot of isdn stuff here
but kinda seem like it would only wipe out 6 of the analog trunks but maybe it walks on all of them. I'm sure the manual will tell you for sure!

RE: KX-TD1232 with ISDN and analog at the same time

guess what!! I was reading the book for you and as far as I can tell you should be able to have both analog and isdn
lines. it walks on a slave ksu if you have one so
if you have 12 pots lines on there you should be able to
have up 23 more possible line appearances.

RE: KX-TD1232 with ISDN and analog at the same time

this is assuming you are running a -4+ of USA
firmware

RE: KX-TD1232 with ISDN and analog at the same time

yep no problem at all

you can have 8 annalogue + 2 bri card or 4 bri + 4 annalogue in your case it s the 8+2

Thank you both for the input,
I have 286 ISDN card, which is 6 BRI lines --> 12 CO lines, which consumes up all my 12 COs available for the unit. I don't have a slave unit, and other 12 COs available for that unit are inactive... my 8 analog lines were simply all wiped off by ISDN lines.

RE: KX-TD1232 with ISDN and analog at the same time

ah well you answered the question yourself
12 lines with a mixture of BRI and annalogue is all it can take the only time the 12 line rule doesnt apply is when using a pri...
you will need another cab if you want more lines.

RE: KX-TD1232 with ISDN and analog at the same time

oh see the docs are not clear on the whole pots/bri
mixture!!

RE: KX-TD1232 with ISDN and analog at the same time

Yep. Actually I don't need all of the 6 BRIs - just 3 of them are really connected, so if I could find a way to disable some of them (so that analog can take over) that would be fine with me (I simply want to trade some of 6 BRIs for analogs).
