Peachtree 2000 v6 Conversion Help Needed

Peachtree 2000 v6 Conversion Help Needed

(OP)
I've got Peachtree 2000 v6.

I also want to start using Quickbooks.

There is a conversion utility for Quickbooks to import the data as a
.PTB file.

Peachtree 2000 v6 uses .DAT files.

Newer versions of Peachtree use .PTB

I have also, available, Peachtree 2003.

How do I get the data files to be imported into ANY version of a newer
copy of Peachtree to have the DAT files converted to the newer versions
PTB files so that the Quickbooks conversion will work?

Are there any alternative solutions?

I also tried:

Copying all .DAT files from V6 into the newly
created company folder (PT 2003) replacing the files with the V6 files.

Opened Peachtree 2003 and selected newly created company. It did NOT recognize that the files are from an earlier year and start the conversion process.

RE: Peachtree 2000 v6 Conversion Help Needed

There are no conversion programs for Peachtree 2000 (any version--4, 5 or 6).
