Problem with App Builder & MyCP -- Seems to be LDAP problem?

Problem with App Builder & MyCP -- Seems to be LDAP problem?

Problem with App Builder & MyCP -- Seems to be LDAP problem?

(OP)
We just had our CallPilot server upgraded from 2.02 to 4.04.04.  I tried installing My CallPilot and the Application Builder and am having trouble with both.

My CallPilot won't let anyone log in... fails with an "Invalid Credentials" error.  I have verified that the settings (server name, VPIM prefix, etc.) are correct, and tried every possible combination I can think of.  Still nothing.

Also can't log in to Application Builder.  I saw some posts about people having trouble with the 000000 mailbox, so I created a new administrator mailbox, but that one doesn't work either.  The error I get is "Login failed.  Check log file and try again".  The contents of the log file are:
> 03/20/06 14:33:20    Starting Application Builder login...
> 03/20/06 14:33:20    NMAppBuilderLogin
> 03/20/06 14:33:39    Creating LDAP Bean object
> 03/20/06 14:33:39    Created LDAP Bean object
> 03/20/06 14:33:39    CServerConnection::Login
> 03/20/06 14:33:39    Get LDAP suffix
> 03/20/06 14:33:39    Start anonymous login.
> 03/20/06 14:33:39    Start actual login.
> 03/20/06 14:33:40    LDAP COM Error: Code: 60687, Level:0, Attribute:0, Text1:0, Text2:0.

So, it looks like an LDAP error.  Interestingly, Desktop Messaging for Notes is able to access the address book, which uses LDAP I believe, so it isn't totally broken.  Any ideas where I can find what that error code means?  Or any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Matt

RE: Problem with App Builder & MyCP -- Seems to be LDAP problem?

There is a new app builder out, so if your CP is pepped to the latest PEPs,  the app builder that came with the server will fail to authenticate when you log in.  You will need to download the latest and great app builder.

Thanks for the info.  I believe it is up to the latest PEPs (how can I verify?).  I was trying to use appbuilder.exe from the Applications CD that came with the system.  Will I find an updated AppBuilder on the PEPS CD, or do I need to download it?  If downloading it, where from?

Also, I got the My CallPilot issue fixed... during the upgrade, we renamed the server, but the old FQDN was still hanging around in one of the fields.

Thanks for the info!

RE: Problem with App Builder & MyCP -- Seems to be LDAP problem?

If your server is up to the latest PEPS, you or your vendor will need to download the latest app builder from the Nortel website.

Never mind.... I found the new AppBuilder on the PEPS CD that came with all the other new goodies.  All is well now.

Thanks for the suggestion about checking for a newer version!
