Info Desktop Auto Update

(OP)
Hi there,

We use Info Desktop to view/schedule reports...

When opening (or using) Info Desktop, does it on occasion attempt to see if there are any Updates to the program?

i.e: would it check via the Internet for an updated version?

Thank you

RE: Info Desktop Auto Update

I think it unlikely that it did, I don't recall it doing so, and it wouldn't matter anyway, your software is over 5 years old and is no longer supported.

Seagate/Crystal Info stopped at version 7.5, the current version is XI (11) and it's now exclusively a web based product.

An upgrade is worth serious consideration.

RE: Info Desktop Auto Update

From experience with Info, it only looks for updates if the server software has been updated and the Desktop update has to be located on the APS in order for this to work.

Like synapsevampire said, this product is no longer supported and hasn't been for a while.  I'm currently managing a project to move from SI 7.5 to BO XIr2.  This has become an urgent issue here because we can't get any additional user licenses and we need them.

If you find that you need to do this upgrade (which is NOT inexpensive!), I may be able to point you to some resources to help you out.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.
