how come when i design a webpage in design mode and then switch to view it in preview mode,it doens't look the same. textboxes and labels are places nicely in design  mode but they aren't lined up correctly at all when i preview it. how can i fix this?

RE: preview view

Use tables to control placement.

If you become a guru, you might graduate to CSS for layout, but for now use tables.

RE: preview view

Are you talking about form fields?

If so, place them in a two column table. I usually set to 60-70% for forms. Labels on left and fields on right of course.

CODE

<div align="center">
  <center>
  <table border="0" cellpadding="0" width="60%">
    <tr>
      <td width="50%"></td>
      <td width="50%"></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
      <td width="50%"></td>
      <td width="50%"></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
      <td width="50%"></td>
      <td width="50%"></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
      <td width="50%"></td>
      <td width="50%"></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
      <td width="50%"></td>
      <td width="50%"></td>
    </tr>
  </table>
  </center>
</div>

If you are talking about general page view, you could place content into a table set to 100%.

Honestly, I think CSS will be taking over for page layout.

Hope I have been of some help,
