Parse product data from another website??

Parse product data from another website??

Parse product data from another website??

(OP)
Hello,

I'm looking for some type of software that will allow me to parse all the products on a website into an excel worksheet.  Does anybody know a way to do this??

I tried using Websnake and Wepreaper but these programs just spit out the individual html pages for each product.  I need the data to be spit into some type of database or worksheet so I can upload to my website.

The products will be exactly the same for my website so it will save me a lot of time to just parse the data.  The products are all DVDs.

I tried using IMDB-Grab which is something that is what I'm looking for, but it does not allow me to parse other dvd websites.

Thank you,
olimits7

RE: Parse product data from another website??

Sounds like a job for PERL or another server side solution.
Depending on the size of the operation it may be necessary to integrate a server side database - MySQL or one of the other options.
The server side solution has many other advantages if the site is likely to take off and expand.
