Pervasive 8.5 Client / Magic 9.4 Client on Citrix Error 8005

Pervasive 8.5 Client / Magic 9.4 Client on Citrix Error 8005

(OP)
Hi all...

Having issues with connecting to a pervasive sql database using Magic 9.4.  Originally was using Pervasive 8.5 client with Magic 9.4, which created a 8020 error.  Upgraded pervasive client to 8.7, and am now receiving a Confirmation : Error # 8005 File Manager Fatal Error.

This deployment was working, but appears to have stopped working when some hotfixes (not sure if they were Microsoft or Citrix) were implemented.  I've tried running the function executor and am able to connect to the drive with the database without issue.  Please assist.  DR Watson errors from previous problem and pvsw log pasted below:

RE: Pervasive 8.5 Client / Magic 9.4 Client on Citrix Error 8005

What happens if you try the Magic application while the Function Executor has the file open?  Does it give the same error?
Was the previous (8.5) install using the Client, Workgroup, or Server install? Reason, some apps use local Btrieve files and would fail if only the client is installed.

RE: Pervasive 8.5 Client / Magic 9.4 Client on Citrix Error 8005

(OP)
As far as your first question, I'm a little lost.  Magic accesses a main control file on the shared drive.  That file is directly related to Magic.  There are dat files in the directory that I can open via the executor, but I still cannot connect to the database while connected to those files.

Before this all happened, I was running Pervasive SQL client 8.5 and Magic Desktop deployment 9.4.  Aside from having to change permissions in the program directory to allow those citrix users to access the program directly, this was a relatively simple client install.

I've only tried upgrading to 8.7 because I thought the client package for 8.5 might not be kosher.

Any ideas?
