making a back button.

(OP)
i'm at a point in making my site that i'm stuck.  i'm doing a portfolio site.  on one page i have little preview buttons, with rollovers.  when they are clicked, i want the page to change so that the other preview buttons disappear and you get a full view of the piece.  i can get that far okay, but i would like a back button as well on that page with a rollover on it.  i can't get that back button to work correctly.  i tried making it a slice and puting it on the selected state, but it appears on other pages, which i don't want.  i haven't gotten far enough to upload the site yet, so i don't have a link for someone to look at.  i'm sorta new at this.  thanx in advance for the help.
