Configuring ELisp

Configuring ELisp

(OP)
My Lisp interpreter can do basic functions such as addition/subtraction, etc. But it can't do more complicated functions like (defun, etc. I get this error when I start up: (UNIX::SIGSEGV-HANDLER #<unused-arg>
                       #<unused-arg>
                       #.(SYSTEM:INT-SAP #x3FFFCAFC))
Source: Error finding source:

Then, when I try to interpret a line of code with a function that is complicated as aforementioned, I get this error:
Error in function UNIX::SIGSEGV-HANDLER: Segmentation Violation at #x100168E8
Error flushed ...

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

RE: Configuring ELisp

Are you really using eLisp (i.e. EMACS lisp) ?
