Jobs (S8300) Disk Remastering Application?? (S8300) Disk Remastering Application?? (S8300) Disk Remastering Application??

Hi Guys,
Need your assistance on this one...When I powered up the new S8300 and browsed to it, I got the following:

Disk Remastering Application
This server is running special upgrade software that will reformat and load the hard drive with a new release.
The web server is not available during the upgrade.

Please connect to the server using one of the following methods depending on what is available for your server:

Telnet via the services port (
Local monitor and keyboard
Direct connection to the serial port (modem not supported)

Is there a procedure for installing the software?

Any help very much appreciated.

RE: (S8300) Disk Remastering Application??

plug a cd rom into the USB port, and telnet into the services port setting your pc with a static IP of and telnet Restart the machine and basically follow the prompt for installing the software.

RE: (S8300) Disk Remastering Application??

Hi mrjedi,
Thanks for that... What happened was that as usual the external cd-rom was left out of the order so what I did was telnet to and placed the CM 2.2 CD in my laptop and tftp'd it to the S8300. That worked.

Thanks again.
