ActiveXviewer hangs with "loading..." - sometimes

We have just started to use HTML/ASP pages with CR. We have a default.html with web links pointing to A.asp which has record selection parms w/SQL. Once the user enters his parms B.asp is loaded with the CR ActiveX Viewer report file. The .ASP formats closely resemble the sample.asp's in code.

The problem is the viewer sometimes hangs with a greyed out message in the report body "loading..", only the headings show up. This is sporadic and happening on various client machines, including my dev machine as well. The report never loads and refreshs don't always work either.

Were using Win2000 server, SQL server 7.0, CR 8.0. All our client machines are WinNT 4.0.

I've checked the CR/KB and found nothing that would help.
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot such a problem, or a fix ?
