ruby syntax highlighting

I have installed ruby, rails and xemacs.

Ruby package comes with ruby-mode.el, but i don't know how to load it into xemacs.

I tried copying the ruby-mode.el file to where other .el files are, but that didn't work.

Do I have to change my .emacs file?
If not, how do I go about doing this?

RE: ruby syntax highlighting

You could try

M-x load-library RET ruby-mode RET
then go to the buffer with your ruby file and do

M-x ruby-mode RET
If this works you could add the load-library and modify the auto-mode-alist variable in your .emacs.
