I am a Wintel Systems Admin, and have been assigned a daily chore of updating the dates for a few dreamwriter reports. My only problem is if I am gone and the dates dont get changed, the reports show zero's for the day. I am not sure excatly what these reports do, but I need a way to have this task automated. I also have to change the data area each day.Here are the steps taken;

command line - chgdtaara F4
data area - dates
substring starting position - 1
substring length - 18
new value - '060105063005061605' (today's date)
enter

command line - chgdtaara F4
data area - dates
substring starting position - 1000
substring length - 6
new value - '061605' (today's date)
enter

Is there anyway to automate this? Maybe some sort of script that changes it based on the system date?

Thanks for your help

Nick
