SideKick 98 Data to SideKick 99

SideKick 98 Data to SideKick 99

(OP)
Read all the threads here and there, very overwhelming.

Got a SideKick 98 Database and want to use it in SideKick 99.

Any tips?  Seems 99 wont read/import 98 data.

Also, looked everywhere, no simple cut and dry procedure to export either 98 or 99 data for use in Access or Excel, or for that matter, Outlook (2003 or even XP) Contacts.  Is there a SIMPLE procedure, process utility, tool or software to do so?

RE: SideKick 98 Data to SideKick 99

Dear guruuno,

Seems 99 wont read/import 98 data.

Totally untrue, all files can be imported into Sidekick99 from Sidekick98, just open Sidekick99 and then go to File|Open and navigate to the location of your old Sidekick98 files and Bob's your uncle!

Why anyone would want to do it though is beyond me, as I find that Sidekick 99 although a snappy opener, lacks all the good bits of Sidekick98 with no extras thrown in to compensate..
A very personal opinion I hasten to add!
See also  FAQ807-5231 <click there to see the problems before you change over as it is VERY difficult to get the calendar back into Sidekick98 from Sidekick99.
Good luck whatever your choice
