I know with USB and wedges, this sort of technology may be falling by the wayside but I need something (TSR perhaps that in Windows compatible) that will monitor a com port for activity then write the data to a text file. Nothing fancy...it would have to have command line options to configure the baud, parity, etc... or an interface that would allow a one-time "setup" of the port so my users would not have to be bothered by it. As a barcode is scanned, it would write to a text file then when another scan was made, it would overwrite the previous file. The database program is already on a timer; so to speak, to look for a specified file and complete its programming. There should be some small VB programs around that will do this for not too much $$$.
