dcom .exe with user interface

(OP)
Hello,

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a dcom .exe with an user-interface?
I want to create a .exe  and install it on a server. Th e client apps who call this .exe must be able to see the user-interface. Is this possible or do i have to install the .exe on all the client-machines?

RE: dcom .exe with user interface

If you want to have the clients see anything, you'll have to install it on the client machines, off course (unless you want to make some streaming mechanism yourself to display stuff from the server on the client).

Greetings,
Rick

RE: dcom .exe with user interface

Hello all -

Any info or links on using a script (WMI?) to configure client-side DCOM security settings?  We have a DCOM server that raises events to the client and need to include the requisite DCOM security changes in a distribution package.

Thanks in advance,
