Does anybody knows any free OLAP tools out there?

RE: Free Front End OLAP tools

Crystal Reports (formerly Seagate) offers free client OLAP for up to 25 users.

You can download it from www.crystaldecision.com

Hope this helps.

RE: Free Front End OLAP tools

Thanks for the link Workaholic,

Data Beacon only allows HTML or Flat Files. Do you know of any that support multi-dimentional as well and is available online?

Cheers. JP

RE: Free Front End OLAP tools

True, databeacon is taking in ascii text to produce an OLAP cube, using http to transfer the data.

Sorry, I do not know of any software/service that is free and supports other formats.

However, if "free" is not a requirement, many vendors, e.g. Brio and Business Objects, supply their own scaled-down Java applet version of their desktop client OLAP tool.

RE: Free Front End OLAP tools

not sure if this is what you're looking for but MicroStrategy offers an free evaluation edition of their query, reporting and OLAP software.  check out their website.
